Pre-Ballet/Creative Movement: A great introduction to ballet for our littlest dancers. This class offers 45 minutes of classical ballet training and creative movement to keep your child active and entertained. Open to Tiny Tots 3-4 years of age.
Level I Combo: An introduction to dance for our littlest dancers’. This class offers 25 minutes of ballet, 25 minutes of tap and 10 minutes of tumbling. Your child will learn the fundamentals of dance and enjoy a chance to express themselves through song and dance. Open to Tiny tots – 3-4 years of age.
Level II Combo: The next step in our combo classes. Level two builds on the knowledge gained in level one developing the dancers’ technique and love of movement. Level two combos’ are offered with a tap/ballet/tumbling combination or jazz/tumbling combination. Open to Mini’s – 4-6 years of age.
Pre-Ballet/Ballet I: In this ballet class your child will learn all of the fundamentals of Classical Ballet while developing strength and technique. In this level, scarves, ribbons and musical instruments will be used to introduce dance playfully. This is a first introductory class for students ages 5-6 years of age.
Minis Hip Hop: In this dynamic 45 minute class, students will learn the basics of Hip Hop styling and gain strength in their tumbling skills to help them with their hip hop moves. Every 4-6 year old dancer will have a blast grooving to the music in this class!
Petite Jazz I: This class is designed as an introduction to jazz technique, focusing on basic jazz positions, turns, jumps, leaps and Choreography. Students will also learn proper stretching techniques to enhance strength and flexibility. Ages6-10
Jazz II: This class builds on the skills and technique learned in Jazz I. Students will continue to work on jazz positions, turns, leaps and choreography. Students will be expected to continue work on strength and flexibility to enhance their skills and continue to grow as dancers. Ages 7-10
Ballet I/II: In this class, students will be introduced to basic fundamentals of classical ballet, including body alignment, vocabulary and basic positions of the feet and arms. Ages 6-10
Petite Tap I: This class is for beginning tapper. They will learn and build on basic skills and fundamentals that increase rhythm, strength and coordination. All levels are based on the Al Gilbert’s program. Ages 7-10
Tap II: The next step for our tapper’s age 6-10. Building on the skills learned in Petite Tap I, this class will focus on more intermediate tap skills with rhythm and broadway styles.
Tap III: For the advanced tapper. Must have completed Tap II to enter Tap III.
Ballet III: Building on the skills learned in Ballet I and II, students will continue to learn the elements of Classical Ballet technique and choreography. Students must have at least 1-2 years of prior ballet experience to join this class.
Hip Hop I: Past hip hop experience is great, but even beginners will have a blast in this fast paced, high energy dance class which introduces basic hip hop, the latest trends. All movement will be modest & age appropriate. All music will be free of questionable lyrics. Ages 6-10
Hip Hop II: Designed for the teen dancer, this high energy dance class will go more in depth with hip-hop training, including the latest dance trends and break-dancing moves. All movement will be modest & age appropriate. All music will be free of questionable lyrics. Ages 11-adult
Contemporary: This is a beg/intermediate class designed to augment basic jazz and ballet training. It will continue to build on the skills learned in ballet and jazz, including positions, turns, jumps and choreography. We will also focus more intently on core strength and other elements of conditioning. Ages 12-18
Ballet IV: This class will be centered on beginning to intermediate classical ballet technique. Students will move through barre, center work and progressions which include basic turns, jumps and leaps. Each level of ballet is structured to provide more advanced training as the student is ready.
**For the serious dancer, it is strongly recommended to take a ballet class to compliment jazz training.
Beginning Adult Jazz: Energetic Jazz dance class that is a great workout. Easy to follow, low impact class that focuses on cardiovascular training.
Adult Ballet: Technique based dance class that strengthens and conditions the body while learning and performing barre work, center floor, turns, leaps and progressions. Learn great posture and enhance core strength and flexibility.
Beginning/Intermediate Tap: This class builds on the knowledge gained in Beginning Tap. We take the combinations further and speed things up! Great for those who have had 1+ years of tap. Open to Teen-Adult.
Zumba: Zumba® fuses hypnotic latin rhythms and easy to follow moves to create a dynamic fitness program that will blow you away. The routines feature interval training sessions where fast and slow rhythms and resistance training are combined to tone and sculpt your body while burning fat.
Pilates: Method Pilates, core exercises that build strength, increase flexibility and improve balance. Based on Joseph Pilates style and breath work, pilates is a great compliment to the dancers’ routine building strength and flexibility to prevent injury and keep the core strong.
